Body recovered from River Severn near Ombersley

A BODY has been recovered from the River Severn near Ombersley.

The body was recovered on Sunday (February 4) in the search for missing Telford man Harry Hull-Merrick.

The body was discovered at around 2.30pm near Holt Fleet Bridge in Holt Heath.

Formal identification is yet to take place.

However, it is believed to be that of 36-year-old missing man Harry Hull-Merrick, who was last seen on Friday, December 8 in Ironbridge.

Harry’s family have been informed and have asked their privacy be respected at this difficult time.




The death is not being treated as suspicious.
