BOUNDLESS Outdoors is offering fully funded residential trips to schools across the county this winter thanks to a £35,000 grant from the Adventures Away from Home scheme.
The not-for-profit organisation is using the cash to provide over 170 free places for young people across the county, removing barriers to outdoor learning and ensuring that more pupils than ever can benefit from the life-changing impact of time spent in nature.
Secondary schools taking part include Kinver High, Stourport High, Droitwich High, and Tudor Grange Worcester.
And there are first and primary schools – St James’ CE Primary, Malvern Wells Primary, Welland Primary, Madresfield, Grove Primary, Colwall CofE Primary, Powick Primary, Great Malvern Primary, Malvern Parish School, Somers Park, St Joseph’s, George Merchant School, and Northleigh Primary.
These schools will be among the first to take part in the free two and three-day residentials from this month through to March.
Designed for underrepresented and disadvantaged young people, the programme provides everything from accommodation and food to activities like climbing, bushcraft and team building.
All experiences are tailored to support groups facing challenges such as poverty, disability, care experience, low academic attainment or those with caring responsibilities.
Boundless Outdoors CEO Nick Hands said: “Everyone deserves the chance to step away from the classroom and into adventure.
“This funding allows us to offer that opportunity to young people who might otherwise miss out.
“We’re incredibly proud to be working with schools across Worcestershire to make it happen.”
This latest funding win comes off the back of a record year for Boundless Outdoors – its sites in Malvern and Bell Heath, near Bromsgrove, have welcomed over 10,000 children in 2025.
