WYCHBOLD First School is opening a brand new nursery in September to support the growing local community, writes Katie Bowen.
It offers a flexible approach for parents, providing 30 hours of care for two to four-year-olds.
Parents will be able to access the new care for their children between 7.45am and 5.45pm.
The nursery, full of state-of-the-art equipment and resources, will allow the first school to continue to grow like it has over the past few years. One of the main aims of the new nursery is to provide a stimulating, enriching environment before children take the next step into the reception class at the school.
The school said parents were consistently delighted with their children’s care and education and the way it had gone from strength to strength. It is hoped the new nursery will provide a wider scope for the school to welcome more pupils.
Headteacher Claire Howitt said: “Parents who choose us can be sure of the very best of transitions to reception for their children.”
School governors have been working closely with students in the pupil parliament to analyse the school’s motto – they have now changed it to ‘Our Best, Always’, which they hoped would celebrate the school’s nurturing and ambitious ethos in opening the new nursery.
