Busy time for Droitwich's Potting Shed Gardening Club with bees talk and plant sale

Droitwich Editorial 11th May, 2019   0

THE NEXT meeting of the Potting Shed Gardening Club takes place at 7.30pm this Monday in the Droitwich Salvation Army Community Hall.

The guest speaker will be Barry Vertigan who will talk about bees and how to encourage more of them into the garden.

Around 80 per cent of the food we eat comes from crops which have been pollinated by bees and without them we would be in serious trouble.

Next Saturday, May 18, the club will have its annual plant sale, also at the Salvation Army Community Hall, at 10am.

There will be lots of bargains there to be had.

The last meeting of the club featuring Bob Flowerdew was hailed a great success as the club had a record attendance.

The well-known organic gardener and broadcaster gave an entertaining and informative talk followed by a question and answer session.
