A NEW exhibition will take place throughout July charting the history of football in Droitwich.
Staff at the town’s Heritage Centre, Victoria Square, have been busy researching and and gathering information for the project.
And they want any residents who have further details, memorabilia or photographs of Droitwich football teams, at whatever level, to get in touch.
Heritage Manager Lisa Backhouse, who is creating the exhibition, said: “I am keen to involve as many people as possible.
“Football has played a key role in bringing people together in Droitwich since at least the 1880s, so this is a perfect opportunity to celebrate that heritage through our display.”
Anyone wishing to feature in the exhibition or for more information can either visit Droitwich Spa Heritage Centre, email Lisa Backhouse at [email protected] or call her on 01905 774312.
The exhibition is available to view during the centre’s opening times, 10am to 4pm Monday to Friday and 10am to 1pm on Saturdays.
