MEMBERS OF Droitwich Spa Methodist Church will be gathering on Saturday, November 25, to help with packing shoeboxes for this year’s Operation Christmas Child appeal.
The members will get together at the church on Worcester Road and will offer tea and coffee for the helpers.
A cake stall bring and buy stall, and books for sale stalls, will be there to help raise funds for the transportation of the boxes.
Co-ordinator Jean Shail said: ”Last year, the church was buzzing as people gathered to help fill over 300 shoeboxes with gifts which had been donated throughout the year.
“Let’s hope it will be another record year in 2017.”
Meanwhile, fellow co-ordinator David Shail has suggested what people could donate.
He said: ”Younger children appreciate any small vehicles especially if they move.
“Older ones enjoy games such as dominoes.”
Those who cannot attend the event but want to donate should email [email protected] to find out more.
