Catch 'Anything Goes' which has cruised onto Droitwich's Norbury Theatre stage

THE NORBURY Theatre’s latest production Anything Goes got under way on Wednesday.

The show is a hilarious shipboard romp and features one of Cole Porter’s most magical scores and set of lyrics.

Based on the book by PG Wodehouse and Guy Bolton, the plot on-board ocean liner SS American sees nightclub singer Reno en route from New York to England with her friend Billy stowed away to be near his love ‘Hope’. But, she is engaged to a wealthy lord and other characters join the fray to make things even more complicated.

This version of Anything Goes was adapted from the 1987 Broadway revival, originally produced by Lincoln Centre Theatre, and is being performed by the Norbury Players by arrangement with Concord Theatricals Ltd on behalf of Tams-Witmark LLC.

The remaining shows are tonight, tomorrow and Saturday at 7.30pm (June 22, 23 and 24) with a matinee at 2.30pm on Saturday, June 24.
