EVERYONE is welcome to an afternoon of nostalgia and fabulous food being held at a Droitwich care home.

The event at Westmead Residential Care Home, Westmead Close, is being held next Sunday (October 2) and will feature bunting, live entertainment and a high tea, which will include a variety of finger sandwiches and cakes.

The event is being held to mark Silver Sunday, a national day aimed at celebrating older people and combating loneliness and reducing isolation.

The home’s manager Sue Stokes said: “Silver Sunday is a very special day to celebrate older people and the contribution they make to our society, so we hope to see some new faces from our local community coming along to enjoy a fabulous tea dance with our residents.”
