Chairman hopes for good health and stability across Wychavon for the forthcoming year

Droitwich Editorial 24th Dec, 2019   0

I WOULD like to wish all the residents of Wychavon a very Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy new year.

I hope 2020 brings good health and stability to everyone.

It has been a privilege and an honour to be chairman of Wychavon District Council again this year and I would like to thank all those organisations who have invited me to their events and made me so welcome.

A thank you must also go to the staff at Wychavon for all they do to provide good services for our residents and who continue to make the district a good place to live and work in.

Wychavon has continued to support the many festivals and events which have taken place during the year.

To all those people who organise these activities, many thanks for all you do in making all the events such a success.

2019 has been an interesting and challenging year, with a new Prime Minister and the election of many new Members of Parliament. As a nation we carry on with our lives and here at Wychavon we will continue to do our very best to provide our residents with good service.

Thank you to all our emergency services who keep us safe here in Wychavon, particularly those who provide care and support to vulnerable people throughout the year.

Christmas is a time for caring – about family, neighbours, friends and lending a hand to others in need. Let us go forward into 2020 with optimism and confidence that we can make a difference.

Coun Frances Smith

Chairman of Wychavon District Council
