THE SAFETY of the A38 Copcut junction in Droitwich is under ongoing review.
Ahead of the final safety audit, the council has extended the 40mph speed limit further down the road and limited the second lane of the southbound approach to a right turn lane only.
The changes come after the road leading onto the A38, Pully Lane, had a speed limit change due to the number of car accidents on the road.
A spokesperson for Worcestershire County Council said: “Our resident’s safety when on the highway is our top priority.
“We have liaised with our police colleagues as part of an ongoing review of the A38 Copcut junction near Droitwich and undertaken some site investigations.
“We will continue to monitor the junction and the impact of the revised traffic management ahead of the safety audit and will keep the situation under review.”
