A CIDER and music festival will be held in Droitwich’s Vines Park next weekend.

The event, organised by the 4Shires Festival, will feature 25 country ciders, the launch of five more and, for those who don’t like cider, ten cask ales.

It runs from 6pm to 10.30pm next Friday (July 31), between 4pm and 10.30pm next Saturday (August 1) and from 11am to 10.30pm next Sunday (August 2).

Headlining on the Friday will be the Rattlesnake Jake Band at 8pm.

Then on the Saturday, Tony O’Sullivan will take to the stage at 7.15pm and Black Voices will headline at 8pm.

And on the Sunday, there will be a children’s magic and balloon act at 12.45pm, Jazz Alchemy performing at 1.30pm and reggae band Xova headlining at 2.30pm.

Entry to the Friday night is free and it is £3 on the Saturday and Sunday.

There are also weekend or family tickets available for £5.

Simon Berry, from 4Shires, said: “We had a great response to the first Droitwich Beer Festival the other week – it was packed and there was a great atmosphere.

“We are hoping this one will be the same – everyone is welcome.”

Tickets are available on the door by visiting www.4shires.events/ or by calling 01905 770192.
