MEMBERS from Slimming World groups in Droitwich and Perdiswell have raised more than £2,000 for Cancer Research UK, following a ‘ClothesThrow’ event.
Three groups helped to run the event and raised a total of £2,010 by donating clothes that were either too big, or soon to be, as the successful slimmers continue to lose the pounds.
Peggy Sowerby, Slimming World consultant, said: “The response has been amazing.
“Members sorted though clothes and gave generously – I am just so proud of them.
“Not only are they losing the pounds, they are also gaining pounds for a worthy cause.”
