THE PROOF will be in the running in Droitwich next Saturday when 30 people put through their paces by a town trainer will take on charity 5k and 10k courses.

Kelly Tidbury from Home From Home Fitness led the Couch to 5k and 10k sessions and organised the event for The Odell Trust, her firm’s charity of the year.

The trust runs a centre for adults with mental illness and disabilities and learning difficulties.

The runs start and finish at the King George V Playing Fields and between 9am and 1pm there will also be bouncy castles, a tombola and other activities to boost the coffers further.

Kelly thanked Rivers Fitness for the free use of the fields, changing rooms and toilets for the day and local businesses which had donated other items.

“With this event being open to the general public it would be nice to get locals to come and support our new runners and be part of the day,” she added.
