A YOUNGSTER in Droitwich has raised hundreds of pounds for charity after her bake sale was a smash hit.
Emillie, aged 11, sold cakes on her drive in Tagwell Road to raise funds for Blue Cross and Midlands Air Ambulance. She raised an impressive £380, which will be split equally between the two charities.
The cake sale on Saturday (May 11) drew in local crowds as the sun shone down on those enjoying Emillie’s baked treats.
Emillie’s mother, Maria, put out a rallying call for as many people as possible to come along and support her daughter’s charity efforts and the local community did not let them down.
Marie Hinde, Emillie’s mother told the Standard: “The charity bake sale was a huge success. Can you believe that Emillie raised a total of £380. Amazing.
“People’s kindness and generosity was overwhelming.”
