DROITWICH residents wanting to have their say on the future of acute hospital services in Worcestershire can go along to a consultation event being held in the town on Wednesday (March 8).

The drop-in  event takes place at Salters Medical Practice between 2pm and 5pm and there is a more in-depth chance to speak to Dr Carl Ellson and Clair Austin at 4pm.

The Future of Acute Hospital Services in Worcestershire team will be on hand with young people, pregnant women, carers, the voluntary sector and patients to explain the proposals and listen to ideas and concerns.

Peter Pinfield, a member of the patients’ group at Salters Medical Practice, said: “We decided from an early beginning that we would organise a local event (based around the Droitwich and Ombersley practices) to discuss the plans for our Acute Hospital Services.

“I am very pleased to announce that the key clinical lead Dr Carl Ellson and the lead on communications and engagement Clair Austin are able to give a short presentation of the plans and will then enter into a question and answer session with an invited audience of patients, community representatives and staff.

“It all kicks off at 4pm on Wednesday (March 8) at the Spa Medical practice room 132.

“As we are tight for both room and refreshments if you could indicate, if you (or someone from you organisation ) would be interested in booking a place and coming along to what will be an important opportunity to ask those responsible for the outlined changes.

“Just email me back to [email protected] as I have agreed to co-ordinate the event.

People unable to attend can still have their say by completing the online survey available at www.worcsfuturehospitals.co.uk before the March 30 deadline.
