WORCESTERSHIRE County Council’s resident roadshow will return to Droitwich for Saltfest on September 2.

The roadshows, which allow residents to give their views and ask questions to county councillors and members of staff, are starting back up this weekend.

The first stop on the countywide tour will be the Hanbury Countryside Show on Saturday (July 1) from 9am to 6pm.

People will be able to find out more about the services the Council provides as well as how it spends the money it has available.

Last year’s roadshow saw over 1,000 face-to-face conversations with local people take place across the county.

Coun Simon Geraghty, Leader of Worcestershire County Council, said: “It was great to see so many people face to face at events last year and I’m delighted that we are out at events over the summer this year.

“The roadshows are a great way for local people to come and talk to us about the things that are going well in their local communities and issues that matter most to them. It’s also a great way to find out more about we spend our budget on the wide range of services we provide and support.

“We will be once again visiting events in all six districts to give people the chance to have their say so please come along and talk to us or visit the online roadshow if you are unable to make one of the events. We look forward to seeing you.”
