A CALL for those with a head for heights and a taste for extreme sports to come forward is being made in a bid to raise funds for charity.

A day of bungee jumping and family activities will be held at Droitwich Spa British Legion next month to raise funds for Leukaemia Care, but at least 25 more bungee-jumpers are required if the event is to go ahead.

Organiser Kelly Tidbury, 30, is urging people to get involved for the worthy cause.

She said: “I will be taking the plunge first and I cannot wait.

“I love event planning and I thought there was no better way than to volunteer for a great local charity that doesn’t seem to get as much support as others.”

Jumps cost £65 per person and anything raised above that fee from sponsorship will be donated to the charity.

The event on March 26 will feature an array of business stalls, a bouncy castle, face painting, various food vans and a 175ft professional bungee jump from a crane.

Businesses who wish to be represented at the event can set up their own stall for a £15 fee which will also go to the charity.

Activities will begin at midday and entry is free but any donations will be greatly received.
