Delicious dishes on offer at Droitwich’s food and drink festival this weekend

DROITWICH will be able to dance this weekend away while enjoying plenty of tasty treats as the town’s food and drink festival returns.

The event at Droitwich’s lido park will feature over 100 stalls serving up delicious food and drink from around the world.

On Saturday, MP Nigel Huddleston will be joined by Droitwich Mayor Coun Kate Fellows and Wychavon district council chair Coun Robert Raphael at 10am for the official opening at the lido park bandstand.

The bandstand will act as a stage for several musical acts throughout the weekend including a rock choir, brass band, sing and tonic and jazz alchemy.

Over on the main stage, blues and light rock band ‘the ferrets’ and jazz, fusion and funk group ‘Loz Ruston quartet’ will be among those performing over the weekend.

Other attractions include a fun fair and inflatables for youngsters to enjoy as well as face painting, balloon modelling, a glitter bar and a bubble factory.




And there will be the Pirates Of The Caribbean and Alice in Wonderland escape rooms available for families to try together.

The fun will get under way at 4pm on Friday and will last until 10pm.


The festival will take place between 10am and 10pm on Saturday and will start at the same time on Sunday but finish at 5pm.
