'Delightfully dreamy' Droitwich garden opening its gates for good causes

Droitwich Editorial 5th Aug, 2023   0

A ‘DELIGHTFULLY dreamy’ garden in Droitwich is opening its gates to the public next Sunday, August 13, writes Emily Allbutt.

Hiraeth at 30 Showell Road is a third of an acre in size and contains many herbaceous plants, ferns, acers and an olive tree which is more than 300 years old.

The oasis of colour, which also features metal animals such as: giraffes, elephants ducks, and birds, has been described as ‘a haven on the way to heaven’.

Hiraeth garden is just one of the several beautiful gardens opening in Worcestershire as part of the National Garden Scheme which raises funds for good causes.

The plot is available to view from 2pm to 5pm and admission is £3.50 for adults and free for children.
