DROITWICH is preparing for a number of events to pay tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice in the two World Wars and other conflicts.
Friday, November 11
The Droitwich Royal British Legion will mark Armistice Day with a service at the War Memorial in Victoria Square, Droitwich.
Residents have been encouraged to gather from 10.40am for the service at 10.45am.
Sunday, November 13
The Remembrance Sunday parade will muster at the Westcroft pub at 10.40am, travelling along Ombersley Street East and arriving at Victoria Square at 10.50am.
There, the service will take place, along with two-minute silence and wreath-laying.
Residents who wish to be involved in the parade have been urged to arrive at Westcroft at 10.20am, and those wanting to see the service in Victoria Square should gather at 10.30am.
The service will finish at 11.20am.
Roads into Victoria Square will be closed from 10.30am to midday on Sunday.
