DISCUSSIONS will take place today about how Remembrance Sunday will be marked in Droitwich whilst adhering to social distancing guidelines.
Alan Humphries from the town’s Royal British Legion branch will meet with representatives from town, district and county councils to discuss the arrangements.
The news was revealed at Droitwich Spa Town Council’s resources committee meeting on Monday where it was also announced talks would take place in the coming weeks about the annual Christmas lights.
It was mooted that the way those two events go and their levels of success would help determine how events in 2021 were organised.
Earlier this year plans for the Mayflower 400 celebration had to be put on hold.
That event will take place next year.
It comes amidst the Government’s ‘Rule of Six’ announcement on Wednesday, restricting gatherings of up to six people.
