RGS DODDERHILL School is ‘delighted’ and ‘incredibly proud’ to scoop multiple awards at the Independent Schools Association (ISA) Midland Art Competition.
Pupils Isabel Duggan, Florence Stewart and Rebecca Law, achieved first, and second places in their individual art and textile categories.
Isabel Duggan’s GCSE textile sketchbook won her the first place award in the sketchbook category, which has now qualified her for the national competition.
The ISA Art Competition is held annually and is open to all associated schools in the country with pupils entering the regional competition.
Headmistress Sarah Atkinson said: “We are delighted that our pupils have been so successful at regional level and look forward to the national round of the competition.
“We are a small and nurturing school, and pride ourselves in our ability to bring out the best in our pupils.
“This award is testimony to that ethos, but mostly to the hard work of the pupils involved.
“We are incredibly proud of them.”
