A DRIVER who was brought to an abrupt stop when his badly worn tyre ‘shredded’ on the M5 between Droitwich and Worcester was found by police to have no licence, insurance or tax.
Officers from Worcestershire Operational Policing Unit were following the Ford Galaxy on the motorway when they noticed one of the tyres was ‘soft’.
It was then the burst came and the car stopped between Junction 5 and 6.
Officers also found two of the tyres on the car were defective in total and seized the vehicle.
