DROITWICH’S Air Cadets squadron had a very successful outing at the West Mercia Wing annual Training Day, scooping handfuls of trophies.

They won accolades for the Smartest Cadet, Best Squadron in Worcestershire and Best Squadron in the West Mercian Wing.

They also came a close second in the drill competition.

Flt Lt Peter Booth said: “It’s a great achievement for the cadets to have come second in the drill competition with such an inexperienced team.

“The trophies won reflect the grit, determination and enthusiasm shown by both the cadets and staff.

“I am exceptionally proud of their accomplishments.”

The RAF Air Cadets is actively seeking new members to join its ranks. Those interested in becoming a cadet or a volunteer should e-mail [email protected] or visit 2516droitwichsquadron.co.uk for more.
