THE ANNUAL general meeting (AGM) of the Droitwich and Dodderhill History Research Group will be held from 10am to midday on November 11.
The event in The Gallery at Droitwich Library will feature reports from the chairperson and treasurer, along with the latest findings from the Heritage Lottery project ‘Historic Droitwich: Its Streets and People’.
There will be a talk on ‘Wealth in Iron Age Worcestershire as seen through coins and artefacts’ by guest speaker Geoff Cottam.
Mr Cottam is well-known for his extensive knowledge of historical coins and the talk, which will feature a PowerPoint presentation, promises to be informative and enjoyable.
There will also be a two-minute silence at 11am to remember the war dead as the meeting is on Armistice Day.
Admission is £1 and everyone is welcome.
The research group is also always on the lookout for new members.
Annual subscription is just £1 per person.
