THE ANNUAL exhibition held at Hanbury Hall last month by Droitwich Arts Network (DAN) has been hailed a great success after more than 1,000 people went along to view it.
The event showcased the best in local talent through the pieces which were displayed in the Long Gallery of the National Trust property.
Over the course of the six days, 77 paintings, cards and other pieces of artwork created by members were bought by visitors who were also able to have a go at painting portraits of the members of the Vernon family which once resided at the historic hall.
DAN Chairman Malcolm Wakeman said he was delighted with the response.
“The annual DAN exhibition has become a favourite for the many visitors to the National Trust’s Hanbury Hall and we look forward to holding the event again next year.”
Sian Goodman, National Trust visitor experience project manager at Hanbury Hall, added: “We are always pleased to support local artists and delighted that Droitwich Arts Network has enjoyed another successful exhibition here in the historic Hanbury Hall’s Long Gallery.”
The 2016 exhibition organiser Tamara Jelaca said: “This year’s DAN annual exhibition at Hanbury Hall has been our most successful so far and we are all now looking forward to planning next year’s event.
“On behalf of all DAN members I want to thank Sian Goodman for all her interest and support that she gave us for this year’s exhibition.”
