DROITWICH Arts Network have collaborated on a poppy wreath to be laid at the town’s Remembrance Service on Sunday (November 12).
The network’s chair, Helen Karakashian will lay the poppy wreath in Victoria Square on Remembrance Sunday.
Members from the network headed down to their hub to help create a fresh batch of creative mixed media poppies and chipped in to build a new wreath.
Some poppies were knitted, corcheted and needle felted, while some were made out of silky material and adorned with beads and sequins.
There was also plenty of draw and painted pieces which will be laminated and put on the wreath this year and next year.
Droitwich’s Remembrance Sunday event will begin with an act of remembrance at the War Memorial, Victoria Square at 10.45am with a church service afterwards at at St Andrew’s Church from 11.15am.
