THE FIRST annual general meeting of Droitwich Arts Network as a Community Interest Company has been held at the Old Cock Inn – the group’s new venue.
In his chairman’s report, Rhys Jones thanked the committee for its support and enthusiasm during 2025.
In particular, he mentioned Wendy Simmons and Derek Webster who will continue with many of their activities but wish to step off the committee.
Rhys presented them with gifts in recognition of their significant contribution to Droitwich Arts Network over a number of years.
The three officers – chairman Rhys Jones, secretary Rosie Philpott and honorary treasurer Nicola Giles – were elected as directors of the company.
After more than two years in St Andrews Square, the Hub closed.
Droitwich Arts Network has secured an area in Droitwich Library until the end of 2026.
The group said, with an average of 400 visitors every day, many people would see the banner.
A rolling presentation lasting about20 minutes is usually running on a large screen showing many of the members’ activities.
Once the formal AGM had finished, members enjoyed a hot buffet and entertainment provided by local singer Hannah King.

This includes visual arts,performing arts, photography, media, written, music and crafts.
The network provides opportunities for artists to display or perform their work, and for thepublic to participate in various projects and events. Members are drawn from a wide area including Redditch, Birmingham, Bromsgrove, and Worcester.
