THE DROITWICH Arts Network is looking forward to one of its most prestigious events of the year.
The annual art exhibition at the Long Gallery in Hanbury Hall will run until October 29.
Following on from the success of the town’s ArtFest, the exhibition will be open from 10am to 5pm every day and will showcase 123 works by 33 artists.
Artists will also be selling greetings cards and mounted works will be displayed in browsers throughout the gallery.
Visitors will be asked to vote for their favourite artwork, the winner gains free entry to next year’s exhibition and receives a cup and certificate, presented by last year’s winner, Julie Hunt.
Chairman of DAN, Peter Hawkins, has been delighted with the success of previous years: “In excess of 1,000 people visited the exhibition last year to view the wonderful works that were on display.
“We were all delighted with the amount of interest shown by visitors and over the six days there were 77 transactions of paintings, cards and other art items.
“The annual DAN exhibition has become a favourite for the many visitors to the National Trust’s Hanbury Hall and we look forward to holding the event again this year.”
Entry to the exhibition is free although visitors who are not National Trust members will have to pay the entrance fee to Hanbury Hall.
