Droitwich Arts Network's second virtual exhibition gets under way

WORK by more than 20 artists has gone on display as part of Droitwich Arts Network’s second virtual exhibition which went live on Tuesday.

After the inaugural event was successful in June the talented painters, photographers and textile creators could not wait to do another.

This time many of the 127 pieces from the 20 artists on the online gallery will be available to buy.

Rosie Philpott, local artist and DAN secretary, thanked member and photographer Rhys Jones for co-ordinating both exhibitions and said DAN was blessed with so many talented people.

“We had so much positive feedback from the first exhibition that our members were inspired to produce more work, culminating in another varied and exciting exhibition.

“In times like these it has been lovely to share with each other and the wider public.

“We hope people will enjoy perusing the art in the run up to Christmas and into the new year.”

Wychavon Arts Development Officer Caroline Tredwell said the Covid-19 pandemic had had a devastating impact on the arts world.

“I have great admiration and appreciation for the innovation of groups like the Droitwich Arts Network that has enabled us to share some of the joy that creativity brings to our lives.”
