A BELLY-DANCING teacher from Droitwich is among a group of women who have embraced the bright lights of Hollywood for a special charity calendar.

Mum Tracy Griffiths, who appears on the front cover of the over 45s ‘Golden Age of Glamour’ calendar, recreated the poses of such famous actresses as Marilyn Monroe and Brigitte Bardot.

The calendar is on sale for £10 with funds going towards Alzheimer Research and Alzheimer Society.

The 49-year-old, who has taught belly-dancing in Droitwich and Bromsgrove for 15 years, said: “Most of the women involved the calendar have never done anything like this before.

“The idea came about in November and everyone has been really enthusiastic.

“We are like the Calendar Girls but with more clothes.

“I never thought I would do anything like this but belly-dancing has allowed me to develop a lot of body confidence.

“It doesn’t mater what shape or size you are, it is about being passionate and becoming who you want to be.”

The ‘Golden Age of Glamour’ calendar is on sale for £10, contact Tracy at 07920 085443 to order.
