TWO Droitwich boxers have had success at the England Boxing School Championships.
Leo Jones and Cameron Doe both won their categories to become Midland School Champions and then progressed to the semi-finals in Guilford.
There, Jones fought in the 2010 under 28kg category and Doe in the 2010 under 60kg.
Unfortunately, although they both went the full three rounds with extremely tough opponents, it was not meant to be and they both lost their bouts.
The club are extremely proud of both boxers.
Coach Billy Jones said: ‘We could not have asked more from either Cameron or Leo, they did both the club and themselves proud.”
Droitwich Amateur boxing club has its home show on Saturday, July 1, at Droitwich Spa Football Club.
Gates – for the first home show in 10 years – open from 12.30pm.
The club is urging people to come down and support some of the young boxers who will be showcasing their skills.
