THE ANNUAL Christmas concert, performed by Vocal Score and held at St Nicholas’ Church in Droitwich, has raised £400 for the Multiple Sclerosis Society.

The event was organised by the Droitwich-based George Spinner Lodge, of the Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes.

Secretary Brother Trevor Kings from the group said: “Although the audience was few in number, they were entertained, with a programme of, both popular, and festive music, Interspersed with various solo item both serious and amusing.”

Tea, coffee and mince pies were served in the interval and the raffles were drawn with quite a few winners taking home prizes.

At the end Mr Kings introduced a Trustee of the Lodge, Brother Brian Watkins, who presented a cheque to Kerry Godwin, the charity’s Worcester area support team leader.

Kerry thanked everyone who went along and said the money would be used to assist people suffering from MS. Mr Kings added: “All of the Lodge members want to thank everyone who supported the event and especially the Droitwich Parish for the use of the church, and Vocal Score for its dedicated assistance to many charities with performances.”
