DORSET House Nursing Home has reached the finals in the category ‘Quality in Housekeeping’ in the Caring UK Awards 2022.
The award is given to nursing homes that go above and beyond regarding housekeeping.
Karen Johnson, Home Manager at Dorset House, said: “It is fantastic to see our dedicated Housekeeping Team here at Dorset House as a finalist.
“Our housekeepers work tirelessly to clean and maintain our beautiful home while always taking the time to care for and build relationships with our residents.”
The national annual awards celebrate excellence and innovation within the care sector.
A Caring UK Awards spokesperson said: “Never has there been a more appropriate time to recognise the amazing and selfless contribution that our carers make and how they have given so much to protect and care for their residents in the face of unprecedented challenges.”
Yet this is not the first award the nursing home has been nominated for.
Rotherwood Healthcare, which operates the home, is shortlisted for ‘Care Group of the Year’ and ‘Commitment to Training and Development’.
The award winners for the Caring UK Awards will be unveiled at the Athena in Leicester on December 1.
