A CARE home in Droitwich is offering key workers a breakfast sandwich and a hot drink to say thank you for their work in the community.
The Blue Light Breakfast is hosted each Friday from 10am to 11.30am at Woodland View Care Home and welcomes all types of key workers.
A spokesperson of the White Watch at Droitwich Fire Station, said: “We felt very much welcomed by the staff and residents at Woodland View and loved having a brew and a sandwich.
“It was great to get out and spread the home fire safety advice to staff and residents as well.
“Thank you for having us, Woodland View.”
Centenarian Edna ‘Noddy’ Warner said: “It was lovely to meet and greet some of the firemen, and for them to sit with us for a while.
“Seeing the fire engine up close was very exciting.”
Ilze Careless, Woodland View’s regional director, said: “We’re so grateful to our emergency service workers who do such an amazing job keeping our community safe.
“This is our way of thanking them and showing them our gratitude.”
