STAFF from a Droitwich care home have channeled their inner Disney princesses to pay children at local hospices and hospitals a secret visit.
Woodland View Care Home manager, Lisa Dews and front of house manager, Carla Sidaway, made some dreams come true, dressing as Elsa and Snow White to deliver chocolate treats and take pictures with the children.
A representative at Acorns Childrens Hospice said: “It was so lovely to welcome Elsa and Snow White to see the children – their faces lit up.
“We look forward to seeing everyone at Woodland View soon and can’t wait to use the home’s cinema room as a treat for the children.”
Lisa Dews said: “It was such a pleasure to be able to put a smile on the children’s faces.
“We’re always looking for random acts of kindness to perform in our community; anything we can do to spread a bit of joy.”
In November 2023, Lisa and Carla took on the 30 Miles in November Challenge in aid of Birmingham Children’s Hospital and Chairty.
Carla added: “Community is very important to everyone at Woodland View, especially to our residents who have called Droitwich home for most of their lives, which is why we also invite local people to regular events in our beautiful home.”
Residents and staff at Woodland View invite their community to the Woodland View Cinema Club on the second Saturday of each month at 11:00.
All are welcome to settle down in the home’s luxury cinema room with fresh popcorn to watch a family-friendly film.
The next Cinema Club will take place on Saturday, February 10 with a screening of Snow Buddies.
