Droitwich Editorial 20th Mar, 2024   0

A DROITWICH care home is launching its first retirement and leisure fair as part of its community campaign.

Woodland View care home is hosting its fair on March 23 from 10am to 3pm through its new community support hub – Woodland View in the Community (WIC) – aimed at providing over 65’s with links to local businesses and advisors, with regular events for community members.

Sponsored by Gaudet Luce Golf and Leisure Complex and Better Together, WIC’s Retirement and Leisure Fair will see exhibitors from a variety of services and specialities come together to offer useful information and exciting opportunities to the retired community.

Carla Sidaway, the front of House manager at Woodland View, said: “The Droitwich community is rich in helpful organisations, leisure groups, and advice centres, and the goal of Woodland View’s Retirement and Leisure Fair is to help older people to make these valuable connections.

“Alongside our friends at Age UK Droitwich, we’re looking forward to a day full of noteworthy conversation, budding relationships and delightful activities.”

The Woodland View Retirement and Leisure Fair will take place at Woodland View care home, Woodland Way, Droitwich, WR9 7GP. You can see all the latest event updates on Facebook.

Abigail Hargreaves, an area lead at Better Together, added: “We’re very excited to be part of the upcoming Woodland View Retirement and Leisure Fair, which will give us the opportunity to engage with people about the companionship and concierge services that Better Together can offer the community in Worcestershire.”
