BUDDING landscape artists in Droitwich are in with chance of winning £200 worth of gardening vouchers to create a greener playground at their school.
Housebuilder Redrow Midlands, currently building at The Orchards, is asking children aged under 11 to design a ‘garden of the future’ to be in with a chance of scooping the cash.
The housebuilder is encouraging youngsters to unleash their creativity and fill their imaginary green spaces with eco-friendly and futuristic elements.
Ideas include upcycled floating flower pots, rainwater-powered lighting fixtures and birdhouses with solar panels.
The winner of the competition, which is live now, will also receive their own personalised planter and gardening kit and could see their design incorporated into private gardens or shared outdoor space at Redrow’s future developments.
Redrow sales director Elaine Cartwright said: “We’re looking for a young Droitwich local who is passionate about nature, who dreams of colourful spaces and can reinvent gardens as we know them. If this sounds like your child, then we can’t wait to hear from you.”
