A DROITWICH town councillor has raised more than £200 for Teenage Cancer Trust by going nine weeks without shaving.
Coun Alan Humphries was inspired by a Twitter account which challenges councillors across the country to have their heads shaved for charity.
“Problem was, I didn’t have much hair left to go bald with,” said the Labour councillor.
“So I decided to grow what hair I could, plus a beard, and then have it shaved off when restrictions were lifted and the barbers were open.”
Coun Humphries added that he was moved by the generosity of his sponsors.
