A DANCE group in Droitwich have shared their gratitude after securing a welcomed funding boost to help facilitate a trip abroad for its members.
S.B Danceworks received £5,000 from Persimmon Homes South Midlands as part of its Community Champions scheme to help fund some of the costs of a trip to Disneyland Paris for the dancers and their families.
Dancers from the group will travel to Disneyland Paris to perform in February 2025 after successfully auditioning for the opportunity.
The cheque presentation was marked by a visit from Persimmon Homes managing director, Russell Griffin and Team GB rower, Hattie Taylor.
Shan Baskerville, principal of S.B Danceworks said: “Our talented dancers have worked so hard to successfully audition to perform at Disneyland Paris.
“Their commitment to the audition, rehearsals and ultimately the performance is testament to the work ethic of these young performers.
“We are so thankful to Persimmon Homes for this generous donation which will go a long way towards helping fund the trip for our 33 dancers.”
