TWO MEMBERS of Droitwich’s Gaudet Luce Golf Club will undertake a daring skydive for charity, writes Charlotte Albutt.
Gents captain Dean Pointon and Abigail Cottrell will plunge 13,000ft at Hinton airfield, Northamptonshire, on October 12, weather permitting, to raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Society.
They are hoping to collect 2,500 for the cause and raise awareness of the disease which effects over 850,000 people in the UK alone. There still is no cure.
The gents’ vice captain and also the club captain were also originally going to take part but weer unable unable to make the weight limit.
Abigail said: “Many people will be touched by Alzheimer’s at some point in their lives and whether you can give a little or a lot, your support is very much appreciated.
