A DROITWICH woman used her design skills to raise £720 for the global charity Smile Train.
Catherine Keay designed 70 bespoke clothes for a charity photography day where each photographer donated towards the charity.
Catherine, owner of the start-up business Mi Amor Clothing, said: “I was quite emotional – it was a big achievement.
“It was just a lovely feeling and made me want to do more the charity.”
It took Catherine altogether three and a half to make all the individual outfits which were tailored to each individual’s model size.
Smile Train is a charity which sponsors life-changing treatments and operations for children born with clefts palets in poorer countries.
Kevin Sheldon, who hosted the event at his photography studio, said: “This simple operation can make so much difference to a child in an already hard world, giving them acceptance, confidence and levelling the playing field in an already tough life.”
The event also gave Catherine the confidence to set up her own business called Mi Amor Clothing.
She hopes to get involved with more charity projects with Smile Train in the future.
