A FIRE crew from Droitwich and the Bromyard animal rescue team were called to rescue a horse that was stuck in a large pool near the town.
Crews were called this morning after Harley, a 17-year-old horse, was unable to get out of the pool in Shell due to the amount of silt and mud at the bottom of it.
A veterinary surgeon was able to sedate Harley to enable crews to work closer to him.
Crews then used a telehandler to move him to the side of the pool before pulling him onto a slide board and moving him out of the water.
He was able to begin walking again shortly after before being given a full check-over by a vet, who confirmed he was fine.
