THERE will be sponges and buckets at the ready on Saturday (July 12) when Droitwich firefighters hold a charity car wash.
Funds raised at the event, which takes place at the town’s fire station between 2pm and 4pm, will primarily go towards replacing the play equipment destroyed at the Lido Park blaze.
Some of the proceeds will also go to the Fire Fighters Charity.
Watch commander Mike James said: “We know there has been a great fund-raising effort by the people and businesses in Droitwich so far and we want to be part of that.”
