Droitwich firm Egbert Taylor has best year of international trade with £5million worth of exports

Harry Leach 12th Oct, 2019

DROITWICH firm Egbert Taylor has announced 2019 as its best ever year for international trade after securing export revenue worth almost £5million.

The growth comes as the manufacturer, which produces containers using British-sourced materials at its Oak Park site in Elmley Lovett, continues to win new contracts.

In September Egbert Taylor completed an order for 7,000 continental containers from customers in Kuwait, which has committed to a further 10,000 next year.

An order for 2,200 containers also came from a customer in Malaysia, and other significant numbers from Peru, Sri Lanka and India.

Matthew Young, export manager at Egbert Taylor, said it was a ‘great moment’ for the business.

“Not just because of the fact we’ve had our best ever year for export, but also because we’re securing repeat business from international customers.”
