POORLY children at the Worcestershire Royal Hospital and St Richards Hospice were thrilled with a special delivery from the players at Westbury Celtic FC.

Youngsters and their siblings were all treated to some scrumptious easter eggs by the footballers from the Droitwich team.

Sarah Popplestone-Helm, St Richard’s Hospice’s head of family support, said: “It’s a gift that will help brighten their day and let them know other people are thinking about them and their situation.”

Richard Hood, Westbury Celtic FC’s chairman, said: “Thanks to the players and parents within our club we were able to donate Easter eggs to St Richards Hospice and Worcestershire Royal Hospital.

“Easter, amongst other things, is about family and supporting each other, so we were proud to hopefully bring a little moment of chocolate-joy to the children this year.”
