Droitwich girls to have their locks chopped to help Matts Mission

TWO DROITWICH girls are having their hair cut to raise funds for charity.

Beatrice Burrows, 11, and Ariella Denning, seven, are hoping to raise £500 for the Matts Mission and their hair will be made into wigs for children who have lost their locks because of treatment for cancer and other illnesses.

Matts Mission grants wishes to sick and disabled children, provides free respite in a sensory hub and its adapted holiday home respite.

It holds Lapland and Disney Land trips every Christmas and regularly visits to hospitals and hospices.

Holly Denning, Ariella’s mum and Beatrice’s sister, said: “When they found out about the charity they really wanted to do this.

“Their hair is very precious to them and it’s a big sacrifice – it’s not something I would have done when I was their age.

“I’m so proud of them – they’re both very caring girls.”
