A TEAM from Droitwich Golf Club has raised almost £2,500 for Macmillan Cancer Support by playing 72 holes in one day.
The club raised £2,380 after teaming up with Harrison Clark Rickerbys Solicitors, who donated £500, and Oakley Independent Mortgages who donated £250.
The game started at 5.30am with the golfers stopping after the first 18 for food donated by Droitwich Waitrose.
Organiser Jack Brehaut, said: “I feel truly proud of the our team and our achievement, we covered over 26 miles on the day.
“The reason we chose Macmillan is because many of us, Including myself have seen friends and family suffering from cancer.
“It’s not until you get older that you realise how common it is.
“The work Macmillan nurses do for the families is incredible and they always do their very best for the families, we want to ensure that work continues.”
People can still donate to the cause.
