A VOLUNTEER recruitment drive at Droitwich Spa Heritage Centre has already proved successful with five signing up since its launch.
The team now comprises of 26 residents who give their time on a regular rota.
Droitwich Town Council expressed its thanks to those volunteers at Monday’s meeting, praising their valuable contribution and skills they have brought to the table.
Among them are a student undertaking the Duke of Edinburgh Awards scheme and another from Worcester University who carries out their volunteering as part of a museum sector work experience placement.
They help maintain the Droitwich Spa Heritage Centre and museum’s offering.
The launch for volunteers to learn about the town and pass that knowledge onto visitors, bringing Droitwich’s history to life in the process, took place at new year.
