AN ILLUSTRATED talk on A History of Bewdley will be given by guest speaker Richard Perrin in Droitwich on Wednesday (October 5).
Everyone is welcome to the event which has been organised by the Droitwich History and Archaeology Society and takes place at 7.30pm in the John Corbett Room at the Community Hall, Heritage Way.
Bewdley, on the River Severn, has been billed as the most perfect Georgian town in Worcestershire and its name comes from the French words Beau Lieu meaning ‘beautiful place’.
Richard will talk about this, its industries, how the town evolved and more.
Admission is £2 for members of the society and £4 for visitors.
